CH2M is offering this position to work on existing and upcoming large-scale highway projects in the Denver area.
As a Roadway Engineer, you will provide design expertise in a structured team framework, contributing to the roadway design and construction of the projects. You should be a self-motivated professional with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, capable of managing work to maintain schedule and budget, with a demonstrated success working in a team environment. This position includes involvement in the technical project work, as well as project delivery and project management, and the ability to communicate and coordinate with clients and stakeholders. You understand data analysis and have experience with technical roadway design, including experience working with Microstation and InRoads, and working with design teams on large projects. Experience working with AutoCad, Civil3D and GEOPAK is preferred, as is experience working on Design-Build projects. Our Roadway Engineers: • Lead roadway and bridge teams in all aspects of roadway design, from concept planning and preliminary design to final design and construction • Are responsible for roadway geometric design, grading design, channelization layout, report writing, development of plans and specifications, and estimates & services during construction • Are proficient in freeway, arterial roadway, and local street design projects, including preparation of complex grading plans • Are proficient in roadway design concepts including the development of horizontal and vertical alignments, templates, and corridor modeling • Have extensive experience developing plans, specifications, and estimates for major interstate, expressway, arterial streets, local streets, and trail projects • Have experience with utility coordination • Work within and support safety as a key metric of project success • Interact with CH2M project teams, sub-consultant teams, and client program level directors • Complete tasks as a member of multidisciplinary project teams, working independently with minimal day to day supervision • Direct your team’s work, develop & mentor junior staff, provide technical & quality guidance, and assist with management of projects
• 5-10 years roadway design experience on relevant projects • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from accredited university • CO PE or ability to obtain within 6 months • Strong proficiency with MicroStation and InRoads • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as other commonly employed software • Detail oriented and project delivery focused • Ability to work in team environment to assemble calculations, plans, and specifications
