The career – CH2M seeks an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our Ports & Maritime Practice as an Engineer Diver. Our Engineer Diver career path is your chance to work on exciting and engaging Maritime projects. This role will fulfill a position within engineer diving and rehabilitative design for the Ports & Maritime Practice. The principal function of this position is to evaluate marine structures worldwide through above and underwater engineering inspections and to support the development of detailed reports and to design repairs as required. The candidate can expect the potential for working on travel assignments.
The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge. These points should align with the key areas of responsibility: The minimum requirements include five to ten years of progressive experience as an Engineer Diver, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Degree (or similar) from an ABET accredited university, a Professional Engineer License (or the ability to obtain one within one year), Commercial Diving Experience and ADCI Certification, and excellent writing and communication skills (samples of writing to be provided by applicants). US Citizenship is preferred. Potential applicants must be currently located in or willing to relocate to the NYC Metro area. Our Engineer Divers: • Conduct site investigations as a Team Leader on an Inspection Team • Analyze deteriorated components • Assess remaining capacities • Develop detailed reports • Design repair alternatives • Develop contract documents
