CH2M’s Project Manager jobs provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects. Each day, you will have the opportunity to utilize your transportation planning and roadway design expertise to lead transportation-related projects. This position will allow you to use your technical experience, manage projects, and mentor and direct junior staff. CH2M’s Atlanta office is seeking a Project Manager to support our Transportation team collaborating on planning, design, permitting, and construction projects for local and regional clients. This position requires a technical design background in at least one of the following areas: transportation and/or urban planning, highway drainage, highway design, traffic engineering, as well as familiarity with AASHTO and MUTCD standards.
Responsibilities Include · Lead the planning and engineering design for transportation projects. · Conduct field investigations to identify project needs and to perform construction inspections. · Conduct engineering analysis: identify the problem, develop and evaluate alternative solutions, and prepare recommendations. · Present technical recommendations and alternatives to local and regional clients · Prepare technical reports, preliminary/detailed design documents, engineering specifications, cost estimates, bid packages, and perform calculations in support of engineering activities. · Coordinate the planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety and organization of subcontractors and internal technical and support staff · Coach and mentor junior staff, provide quality guidance, and develop future project managers. · Leads and manages the project team through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with established project delivery processes to the meet the scope, schedule, and budget. Complete tasks within schedule and budget with teams comprised of different disciplines · Act as one of the CH2M’s prime client contacts; responsible for projects’ overall work progress and technical performance
· At least 7 years of civil engineering experience, including a minimum of 2 years of Project Management experience in Transportation projects · B.S. in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline · PE in the state of Georgia · Prior experience on GDOT required
· Technical design background in at least one of the following areas: transportation and/or urban planning, highway drainage, highway design, traffic engineering · Working knowledge of AASHTO and MUTCD standards · Knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft Office suite · Knowledge of and experience using Autodesk and/or Bentley/Microstation design software · Self-motivated, team-oriented, organized, and able to successfully multitask · Strong data analysis and technical problem solving · Strong written and oral communication skills · Outgoing and positive attitude, dependable, and committed to meet all assigned project deadlines · Work independently and in a team environment. · A desire to grow personally as well as professionally.
