The Senior Project Manager/Office Manager for CH2M’s Whitehorse office will be accountable for managing project execution, achieving financial objectives, and providing leadership to the local team; as well as supporting the overall customer experience for CH2M’s work in the Yukon market. The successful candidate will work with an established global group of qualified practitioners, and provide leadership through projects and pursuits ranging from environmental investigations to municipal infrastructure projects.
Utilizing your seasoned background, you will coordinate with Project Delivery leaders, advocate for and support the local staff and promote the core values of CH2M. As the eyes, ears, and voice of corporate management at the local office level, you will understand the overall mission of CH2M and guide the culture of the local office. You will be the face of CH2M and represent the firm when delivering and growing our local business and monitoring performance on existing projects, and administering local systems.
Responsibilities: -Monitor project performance and customer satisfaction for projects being executed in the office. -Visit past, current, and future clients to develop relationships to understand client needs, leverage existing projects and contacts and create new work opportunities in the Yukon market -Support marketing and business development needs and identifying local and regional opportunities. -Continually develop client relationships and work alongside CH2M’s Client Account Managers to position for and win work -Able and eager to manage office in a positive, team oriented manner to Lead and navigate where required -Provide leadership to the office, presenting the company’s vision, mission, and core values. -Develop and lead diverse project teams in all phases of planning, execution, and delivery of projects of all size. -Leverage teams comprised of different technical disciplines to complete tasks and prepare technical deliverables for clients, regulatory agencies, or other stakeholders and interact with regulatory agencies on behalf of clients -Lead in the application of CH2M’s Project Delivery System to achieve the following project delivery strategic objectives: health, safety, environmental responsibility; risk management; client expectations for quality, schedule, and budget; financial performance for project specific targets; project team and field program expectations; operational performance and business unit expectations; and quality -Develop project scope, manage and execute multiple complex projects, and write/review reports and proposals with a diverse team of professionals including sub-consultants

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Civil, or applicable discipline) or equivalent experience -Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in the consulting industry with at least 5 years emphasis on project management, capable of designing and implementing field investigation programs -Strong understanding of emerging business and industry trends and drivers in the Yukon market -Project Management Institute Certified Project Management Professional is preferred -Strong project and program management skills, team building and leadership skills, as well as a drive to help client’s meet their goals through effective project delivery -Able to demonstrate a strong record in health and safety, including experience with behaviour-based health & safety programs -Able to demonstrate expertise in managing and executing projects
- Proven business development experience within the site management, construction management and remediation environment in the Yukon market -Previous supervisory and managerial experience, including planning, controlling, organizing, and directing activities of staff.
