The postdoctoral fellow will participate in an interdisciplinary, NSF funded research project by assisting Dr. Murray-Tuite and her research team with evacuation travel demand modeling for hurricanes, traffic simulation, and optimization of evacuation management strategies. The researcher will be responsible for conducting original research.
Specific duties include:
(1) Analyzing survey data, develop models (regression, discrete choice) of household evacuation-related decisions, and generate hurricane evacuation travel demand for use with traffic simulation models
(2) Developing optimization models and solution approaches for evacuation traffic management
(3) Leading the development of manuscripts and reports
