Seeking a postdoctoral research associate position in transportation, specifically in the areas of traffic/pedestrian safety, relevant data collection, and quantitative modeling using several advanced statistical/econometric methods, and other data analytics in the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering.
The successful candidate should have the following minimum qualifications:
An earned PhD degree in Transportation Engineering or related field with a record of excellence in scholarship evidenced by publications in reputed relevant journals
Expertise in advanced econometric modeling methods and their applications in transportation/safety related problems Proficiency and demonstrated skills with statistical softwares / programs (e.g., SAS, NLOGIT, R, STATA etc.), geospatial programs (e.g., ArcGIS), Matlab etc.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Research experience with analyses of Naturalistic Driving Study (NDS) data sets of Second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP2) is highly desirable.
