This position is located in the Department of For-Hire Vehicles (DFHV). The purpose of this position is to serve as the Chief of Operations, responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of operations support including but not limited to: project management, IT, vendor management, customer service, workforce management, and other support functions which enables DFHV to provide a wide range of complex, and diverse consumer support and programs to the citizens of the District of Columbia, its visitors and the For-Hire industry. The Chief of Operations actively participates in the establishment of departmental policy planning for the accomplishment of primary programs, providing leadership and advice concerning long-range technical planning and strategic operational matters.
One (1) year of specialized experiences equivalent to at least the grade level 14. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the individual with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position such as principles of general management, personnel management, supervisory principles and practices, performance management, program budgeting, fiscal management and technical operations and applications
